There is a truth in a lie, so, for example, if you want something to happen for a really long time, it is not impossible for the process of it’s actualisation to start almost independently. This technique usually falls short only because we all tend to overthink our inclinations, question motivations and second guess our choices. Me, for example, I can never choose anything. At times like this I tend to bang my head against the wall and sob quietly, but what can be done if very time I try to pick one option over another, the value of the second one grows in my eyes exponentially, making it fairly impossible for me to settle on anything? When I confront both parallel choices attempting an unbiased comparison, I can go the farthest; and finally, though not without doubt, it seems like the choice is made, but when I later lay in bed, I realise that both options are to be considered within a bigger perspective, and therefore need to be reconsidered immediately. Perhaps I’ve been blind all this time.
As the process brings no relief, I usually decide to reach out of my solipsist nest to the outside world, counting on receiving an insightful and adequate reasoning accompanied by careful advice on the matter. What perhaps I don’t realise is that at this stage I am secretly rooting for one solution in particular, and when it is not advocated for it forces me to immediately cut all contact with the person who lightheartedly chose the other option. It may not be the most elegant solution, but at least I don’t have to explain all of this.
